I have a number of pieces of equipment that are not getting enough use, so the following are for sale or trade. Instead of posting these separately, I thought I would try everything in the same listing, both priced individually and as a group.

(1) Amherst Audio Amp and Preamp (A-2000 and P-2000) - $599/set
Very nice sounding and well constructed solid state preamp and amp set in nice physical and electrical condition (a good 7 on the Audiogon scale). Not much information out there on these pieces, as the company disbanded before they were commercially made available (+/- 50 sets were originally made). The output specifications of the amp appear to be 135 watts/ch @ 8 ohms, and 225 watts/ch @ 4 ohms. The preamp has a phono stage (most likely MM) as well as 4 line level inputs, a tape monitor, a bypass and two outputs. Mundane appearance, but very high quality parts used in construction. You will be hard pressed to find better components at this price point.
(2) SAE E101 Computer Direct-Line Parametric Equalizer (w/ original manual) - $299
2-band parametric equalizer in excellent physical and operation shape. Fairly scarce component from the vintage SAE product line. Physically this unit is in excellent shape. Other than some discoloration on the top, and a small nick on the top right corner of the front, there is nothing else to mention (an easy 7 on the Audiogon scale). Operationally, this unit is also excellent. It was refurbished about 1 year ago by Rick Rupert (well known for SAE repairs). The only operational issue is that the “Standby” (on-off) switch sometimes needs to be tapped more than once to stay on, but that is really minor. All LEDs work and are strong. The unit comes with an original manual.
(3) RCA WT-110A Tube Tester (with a second parts unit and extras) - $299
Primary unit was repaired/calibrated in 2009 (by Rick Rupert). Comes with additional blank cards, manuals and other information. The second unit powers up, but should not be considered functional in its current state (although I believe that it could be refurbed to working condition).
(4) McIntosh HT-4 Center Channel Speaker - mediocre physical shape (about a 5 on the Audiogon scale), but used until recently and fully functional - $SALE PDG
(5) SDI-modified Pioneer DV59AVi Universal Player - $199
(6) KGS Electronics IT-1500 Isolation Transformer - $79
Hospital grade, 2-outlet isolation transformer. 12.5 amp rating (1500 VA).
Take everything in the listing for $1250 now $1000 (w/o the HT-4) (cash basis).

Please note that these units are being sold 'AS IS'; however, I will guarantee against DOA or a material misdescription in the listing. In such event, I will refund the purchase price upon return of the component to me (in the same condition as shipped).
Money order/cashier’s check/personal check preferred but, except for US Postal Money Orders, all must clear my bank first. I also accept Paypal for convenience (add 3% for USA and 4% for elsewhere to the total).
Almost all audio and tube-related trade value will be considered. I don't have any specific needs, but possibly something will catch my interest. Some potential interests include SACD/DVD-A discs, vacuum tubes (EL34, 2A3, 7DJ8/PCC88, etc.), shielded speaker cable, and a DAC with balanced output. The only items I don't have any specific need or use for are tuners and CD/DVD players (although a dedicated SACD player would be of interest). I will even consider equipment repair services. In any event, feel free to propose something (tubes or audio equipment) and I will at least consider it and respond.
On trade, I do have other pieces (and tubes) I can make available, plus have access to a few other things, so if you are interested in anything above, feel free to drop me a note and let me know what you have available.
I am willing to ship globally but, outside of the USA more stringent payment and shipping conditions apply. In any case, the buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. Each unit will be packed individually and securely. In the USA, I would prefer to ship via FedEx Ground.
