I need some hook up help.
« on: 26 Jan 2003, 01:05 am »
I moved my equipment to my flexi-rack today and am having trouble               getting it hooked back up.   I run my DAC to one of the 3 inputs on the Foreplay.  Then from the FP to the power amp on my integrated amp.  It works fine.   I have been using the NAD's phono stage for my TT and that is what I can't seem to reconnect right.  I know I was using the tape player somehow.  God, do I feel dumb!   Please help.

OK so you have your dac hooked up to the foreplay and then the pre-amp outs put into the NAD's power amp input. so you must have had the tt going into the nad's phono in. and then the phono signal going out using the tape monitor going to the foreplay?  thats gotta be it!

Thanks.  It worked fine.  I sure thought I had tried that but obviously not.

instead of using the tape monitor, why dont you just use the pre-amp outputs from the nad. just for the TT and just leave it at a good volume level? or is it better to have it from the tape monitor because it doesnt have to go through the pre-amp section??
