Are these Vitamin Q's correct?

Are they missing a lead? Or do they wire differently?  I am not familiar with them, but want to give them a try.

It's been a while, but IIRC you are missing the other lead.  The other plate of the cap is tied to the threaded post.  Unscrew the nut and use a ring terminal or spade lug.  Then just tighten down the nut.

Think of it like a speaker binding post.

I bought them. Got two 1uf 300v for $15 shipped. We'll see if they work.

If you're using Vitamin Q caps as bypass caps, I've read the best sounding models are 96P and 196P that usually come with long twin leads. These Vitamin Q Capacitors .012uf / 100v (196P) from this EBAY seller are what I used to bypass the output caps in my MHDT Havana Dac as recommended by Scott F. (2 caps per channel).  :thumb:

I'm modding a Toshiba 4960 universal player, using these as the output caps. I wanted to try a less expensive cap and make sure my mod works. But I hear the Vit Q's sound pretty good. Not sure about these.

The nut is the ground side of the cap. Note there is an insultator(glass?) between the lead and the case/nut. These would be bolted in place in test equipment and the like. Nothing odd about them really.  8)

Thanks everyone. I got them wired in correctly. I soldered to the ring below the nut. I might change to a spade lug. But probably I will upgrade the caps, these were mainly for test, but I'll see how they do.

I have heard from others who have used them that they sound just as good, no different than other Vitamin Q caps.
