The iPhone is beautiful, but I don't want AT&T's lack of coverage. Some say it's fine around here but others I've spoken with are disappointed. Anyway, consider the Droid X or the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S, also. The Droid X is too big for my taste, otherwise I'd get that.
Don't you get 30 days to try the iPhone during which time you can cancel your contract with AT&T?If so why not just give it a go? That's what my boss did last year before deciding to stick with his blackberry (this year he is keeping the iPhone4)
I have had HTC Touchpro 2 for a year now in greater Washington, DC area with Sprint. Great coverage and phone works just fine with long battery life. It worked fine in Italy too. I am keeping an eye on EVO for upgrade as it is out of stock for upgrade customers.
I went from my Iphone 3gs to an ANDROID about 10 months ago and haven't looked back. Currently, I'm running custom 2.2 Froyo rom on a My Touch and it is smooth as glass. I would love to get the EVO, not too big on Motorola but my sister just got the Droid X and it is sweet. I'm stuck on a 2 year deal with Tmobile and will probably get the Samsung Vibrant or wait till the end of the year to try Windows 7 mobile or possibly another Android with more powerful processor BTW, FROYO is really nice
I have an iPhone but I love this cartoon.*Warning* - Dirty languagehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bcryQUuDwM
I was just about to post that video. Priceless!Construct,You really should get an Andriod phone, there is just no comparison to the iPhone OS. I'm using 2.2 (froyo) on my Nexus One and I have never used a better operating system period. Apple is promoting features like multitasking when Andriod has had it for a while, and Andriod multitasking is much better anyways. Apple used to be ahead of the curve with the iPhone, now they are behind it. The only thing the iPhone still has left to tout about is the app store. In regard to that, two things:1. The Andriod app store has all the main apps you would most likely use.2. The Andriod app store is on record pace to smoke by the Apple app store in the coming year/years.Now for hardware, the Driod X seems amazing, if it's too big, get the Incredible. Verizon is the best service provider in the US (and this is coming from a T-mobile customer). In sum, the software is easily better, and the hardware is just as good. Why anyone would get an iPhone I just don't know.-West
