FEATURES:

  • The Beyerdynamic A1 headphone amplifier has been designed to operate headphones with a nominal impedance from 30 to 600 ohms.
It can power the highest-impedance headphones such as the Sennheiser HD 800 and the Beyerdynamic Tesla T1.
A special impedance headphone output ensures the control range of the volume potentiometer is also ideal for headphones with lower impedances.
The high grade ALPS-potentiometer provides smooth volume control adjustment and the volume control knob is made from solid aluminum.
The entire circuit can handle frequencies up to 96 kHz! It can reproduce the uncompressed audio from SACDs and DVDs with pristine results.
A micro-processor-controlled relay provides noiseless switching between inputs.
A generously-dimensioned toroidal core transformer ensures the highest fidelity dynamics.
Two gold-plated stereo inputs and one gold-plated stereo output provide solid connections for interconnects.
There is one 1/4" headphone socket (6.35 mm).
The first input is hardwired to the A1 line out. Thus, the incoming signal can be passively loopedthrough even when the A1 is in standby mode. The A1 only needs to be powered on when using headphones.
Two blue front panel LEDs indicate the active signal input.
Multi-color LED indicates the A1's operating status.

:scratch:I'm not completely sure, as I'm not exactly a vet around here... But I believe they prefer someone participate in the community as opposed to just signing up to sell something with your first post. ebay only?

I am sorry if I offended you by posting this item for sale with a link to eBay. (By the way: I, the seller, am the one paying all the eBay and PayPal fees. The buyer does not.)

My listing appears to meet all the guidelines for audiocircle. Here are the guidelines I satisfy:

(#1) Trading Post used by an individual member, not a business. YES. I am not a business
(#2) Listed an asking price. YES. Auction starts at $614.00
(#3) Location for the item. YES. Westfield, MA 01085
(#4) Shipping costs mentioned. YES. Free.
(#5) Will I update the item listing when it is sold. YES. And I will include the winning bid so that other audiocircle members can use my post as a reference.
(#6) "Please do not provide just a link to auctions at other web sites.  A detailed ad here with a link is ok." YES. I wrote a detailed ad here and then provided a link to an auction site.
(#7) "Posting a link to the manufacturers web site is very helpful." YES. I posted a link to the manufacturer's website.
(#8)  "Checking other web sites feedback and calling the seller is recommended." YES. I am an ID verified eBay seller and an ID verified PayPal member.
(#9) "Detailed pictures." Yes. I provided 4 very high resolution pictures of the actual item for sale.

I cannot find any rule which states that I must post "X" posts before I can offer an item for sale. In addition, I don't have anything important to add to your forum at this time. Once I do, then I'll post a message.

I am simply offering members of this community an opportunity to purchase some high end electronics at excellent prices from me, an individual with an established reputation on eBay as a reliable and trustworthy seller.(Please also be aware that I have some Krells and Focal-JM Lab speakers to sell in the upcoming month. Everything is in excellent condition. )

I appreciate that you did take the time to read the guidelines and follow them, as many don't.  If you make a quick general post or two before you list your Krells and Focals, you probably will avoid receiving further criticism!

For myself (nothing personal), I don't care for auctions or "make me an offer".  My mindset is if you have something to sell, list the price, otherwise I'm moving on.

Anyway, good luck.  Hope to see you in the forum discussions.

Steve

Hi Steve:

Thanks! I look forward to joining the discussions. Hopefully the starting price and retail price will give everyone a better idea of how much it is truly worth. (I really dislike listings with a "contact me" instead of the price. I don't even bother with those). I'll go ahead an introduce myself in the appropriate forum after I grab something to eat. Best regards.

Ernest.
