*SOLD* Decware Torii Mk. I with Hazen mod, new price

The Mk. I uses four EL34s and three 6N1Ps with single-ended output transformers in a push-pull design that puts out about 12 watts a side. Originally, it had two inputs, but Decware modded this so that one input was fixed (for use as an amp, with a pre, as I did), and one variable (for use as an integrated). I sent the amp back to Decware to have the Hazen mod done.
Decware made only a small number of these, because they were simply too expensive to produce. Current model of the Torii, which is a push-pull design, clocks in at $2,500.
There are a couple minor rubs or scrapes in the paint job, but nothing you can see unless you're close up. In the photo, look to the left of the Decware name on the top edge of the face. That's why I give this a conservative 7 rating.
Comes with nice quad of Sovtek EL34s. Have shipping box from Decware.
$775. Add 3% for Paypal.

You have described this amp as single ended. It has 2 pair of EL34's, which would be very unusual in a single ended amp. Isn't this amp a push/pull topology?
While Decware doesn't show a MKI, the original Torii (described as blue) and MKII and MKIII are all push/pull designs.

Here are Steve Deckert's design notes on the Mk. I:
"With the original TORII I used two single ended output transformers wired in series to create the push pull output. . . .
The tradeoff with that amp was primarily power for fidelity. I got 12 watts per channel out of what could easily have been 30 watts with a conventional output transformer."
Here's a single-ended EL34 design by someone else:
http://www.amazon.com/Markhill-MS-34C-Single-Ended-Stereo-Amplifier/dp/B000L27DLQ
Jeff Korneff used to make a single-ended design using KT88s.
I don't have much technical knowledge about such things, but the design uses two single-ended trannies with push-pull output. If there's a better way to describe the Mk. I, I welcome suggestions. Single-ended/PP hybrid?

strhd07:
It would be accurate to describe your amp as a push/pull.

Really nice amp, great price, and made in the USA.
I borrowed a Torii from Bob Ziegler's (about 2004 when he was still in Arizona) during the summer (when it was too hot to run 7 tubes). Note that I'm from the Midwest with a basement listening room, so never understood that whole tube amp excessively heating up the room thing.
It had lots of tube body/soul, seemed to push much harder than 12 wpc, and was very musical. But alas it was not a good match for my speakers (not enough juice and too loose on the bottom for my big floorstanders). Having attended a couple of the DecFests I know Steve Deckert, even though he built a pair of Imperial subs, isn't anything close to being a basshead, so the loose bass isn't an issue for him (or most of the "wimpy" single driver speakers the SET crowd prefer).
