Nuforce ref 9 V3 with power cleaners?
« on: 12 Jul 2010, 09:37 am »
Hi

I am thinking of getting an Isotek Aquarious power cleaner.. Then I see that the Nuforce amps is using "switched" power and that could cause trouble , right?

Do you recomend any good power clean product for your Nuforce amps? It would be cool if it also worked with my VPI Scout turntable deck, ASR mini basis Riaa and my EAR 834L preamp...

I would say use power conditioners with care. In my experience many have the effect of making the sound overly polite, of diminishing the dynamics. Essentially, they have the potential to suck the life out of the sound. I have had luck with the PS Audio "Ultimate Outlet" but it's not a power conditioner and was unfortunately discontinued awhile back. So I'd say it's best if you can try before you buy. Good luck.
