No, Greg, I haven't.

I was assuming you were using the originals based on the review gear listed in the VR-33 review (hint hint  :wink:)

I would certainly agree that midrange bloom and air are two areas that could be improved upon over the originals. I could never get the sound to want to leave the speakers with mine, if you know what I mean.

(I was actually thinking "how the heck did he get the -33s to sound that good with those amps")

Glad to hear that the MK IIs are singing for you!

And, I sent that last message from my mobil phone. I noticed I mistyped the model number -- it is a D200 MkII, not a D220 MkII. Sorry for the confusion! ;-D

 Just out of being an audio nerd are there any betteror close up pics of the drivers used in the VR-33?  Everyday I find myself enjoying my VR-33 more and more so thier is that part of my that would love to see the drivers close-up and with detail.
