I think you will need more than "weather sealed".... more like "waterproofed" for that dunk.
Man! I'm sure the bride probably have a heart attack there. But I'm sure the photos on the card survived that. Not sure about the cams and lenses though.
I've done weddings both as an assistance and on my own and believe me it was nerve reckoning not just on the first time but every time.
Oh! Yeah, not to mention getting to the wedding too.
These days with digital what worry me most is not falling in to water fountain like that guy but loosing my memo card or card crashed. Back in the old days of film, if you loose one roll than would be just 36 frames. But with digi memo cards today it could be in the 100+
Well, I wonder what happened with that photographer after that... hope everything turn out OK.
