My main priority is to hear Salk speakers.  I've come close to pulling the trigger on various models only to decide to wait to hear them so this will be my chance.  I truly love the look of the speakers, now it's time to see if I love the sound as much.

The SoundScape 12's will be in Empirical Audio's room (Iris room on the main floor).  I do not know exactly what they will be driving them with.  There are a number of companies involved.  We are providing the speakers, Emprical Audio is providing the source equipment, Balanced Power Technologies will be providing power conditioning, GIK is providing acoustic panels, etc.  Should be interesting.

We will also share a room with AVA.  In that room, we plan to have HT2-TL's and SongTowers along with Frank's latest goodies.

This room is definitely on my list.  From what I remember this room is a lot better than the one in Rockville for Capital Audiofest.  I will finally get to listen to the SS in a decent setting.  I also have to check out what Steve has cooking for his Pace Car.  I may have to swap out my 96 for 192 and/or get a deal on his demo Li BPS.

I was sad to see that Empirical Audio wasn’t going to have vinyl or tubes.  Even so, I think you may have a great shot at best sound at the show. 

I don’t know if the SoundScapes need break in as mine sounded fantastic fresh out of the box.  However, my emotional reaction to them changed after 200 hours.
