 Hi,
 I picked up a Squeezebox Touch for my brother in law. He is not connected to the internet. Does he have to be to get the Touch to work?

 I'm heading over to his place in an hour and fear that he won't be able to use it.

It's got USB inputs for files and if he has a network he can connect to that.  You won't get internet radio obviously

He needs to download the software and drivers to run the Touch, which is available on the Logitech website. You can find the requirements to run the Touch there:

Thank you guys,
 He has capabilities to hook up to internet but chooses not too. I told him he has to to download the software.We cancelled the evening hook-up but told him I would be there tomorrow to hook up. He said he will by then hook up to the internet as his wife & kids all go wireless but for some reason he refused to put his computer online. He will though for this.
