I had forgotten that I still had one more DAC-60 left. I had loaned it out to a friend of mine and he just now returned it. It is a stock unit.

Danny, what all is required to mod this?  Is there a thread on it?  I am interested but I want to figure out what I can do as there is a VERY good sale on SonicCaps out there right now.

I would also love to figure out modifying this to run on DC with my DODD DIY Buffer ;)

Well the cheap and easy mods are to replace the output coupling caps. I used Sonicaps by-passed by Sonicap Platinum's Just like in your Dodd Buffer. Then change the tubes. These two things will really take it up a level.

Does this Dac upsample?
How would this be for playing Flacs from a computer through  my home theater system?

This DAC does not up-sample (thank goodness), it is a true 24/96 DAC.

It has a fiber optic input so you can plug your computer straight into it if you have a fiber optic output. That's how I used one of my DAC-60's with my Mac Mini.
