almost everything i have is nuforce. a sony es changer, mapleshade  excalibar ribbon i'c, nuforce P 8s preamp, nuforce balanced I'c's running to two nuforce 8.5 v2 mono amps. then , nuforce speaker cable to the nuforce S 9 speakers. in spite of this, the sound i began purchasing nuforce equipment for, the remarkable bloom and details is not there.
the  preamp probably has less than a hundred hours on it ...........the sound from this system is nonetheless so far from a nuforce sound that i dont know if a fully burned-in pre amp will matter that much.
what's going on? any ideas ? sometimes i just feel like sending everything in to Jason and Casey and telling them, here make everything all better. call me when you're done. how much longer should i wait before i begin using my MFSL cds for skeet targets ?

what was in the system that you remember this nuforce sound from?
maybe it was speakers, source, or cabling in conjuction with the nuforce equipment that you are giving the sound quality to the nuforce equipment alone.

after i moved the NuForce 8.5 v2's in:
same cd changer  sony es, same i'cs from that unit, (mapleshade),
with my adcom 750 pre amp i got the sound i was searching for, but changed wires and lost the sound.
i changed the speaker cables to NuForce and got it back,
purchased a Cambridge 840 CD and it was flat and not very exciting.
went back to the sony cd es, still had the adcom preamp,
all through this period i had psb Stratus gold i speakers.
went over to NuForce s9's and the sound was very blaaahh. no soundstage, kind of a muddled sound with no bass. a $5400 set of speakers, apparently, suited for a nuforce system can't possibly sound that bad.
i do think it's possible that the pre amp is just not quite burn-in.
any ideas.................................. ...........................thanks, dan

yes, that's been recommended to me before. i have not yet had the opportunity. my cuz' has a conrad johnson, which by the way he credits for giving his system that deep, luscious sound.
he also has the nuforce amps.
i'll see if i can steal away his preamp for a weekend. does it not, however, make sense that nuforce products should  only work to the benefit of other nuforce products ...................and produce more of that sound ?
thanks marv

If you would like, you can e-mail  bobs@nuforce.com or call me at (219) 380-9779 and I would be glad to do whatever I can to help you resolve whatever issues you may be having.  Something seems to have gone afoul in your system as I know most of the products personally - especially the NuForce preamp, power amp and speakers.  I have little doubt we can track the problem down... most likely to one component or device.  I'll be standing by.

Take care,  :D

Are you comparing sound in one room to sound in another?

Bob can help you with positioning the S-9.
Now you should go with ALL Nuforce ;).  Get the CDP-8.
