Some info on age-related hearing loss
« on: 3 Jul 2010, 07:42 am »
Here's a link to some interesting info on age related hearing loss, which some folks here have been talking about. Turns out that often the cause is not the condition of the hearing mechanism, but other factors within the brain.

I just hooked myself up to an IV of omega-3s.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed  :)

People are also not generally aware that not all fish have significant omega 3's. Corn (and other grains) fed farmed fish only have about the same amount of omega 3's as grain-fed beef. Grass-fed beef, on the other hand, has as much omega 3 as wild fish. See a pattern? Animals fed a natural diet have high levels of omega 3, while grain fed animals are deficient.
Raw walnuts are also a great source of omega 3's.

Eat more fish.

I'd love fish anyway. :)
