goldpoint stepped attenuator

I built my randall museum preamp a few years ago and finally got around to putting a stepped attenuator in it.
Holy smokes, I can't believe I lived with the alps for so long.
Big open sound stage and incereased dynamics.
Recently changed from a sumiko blackbird to a dynavector karat with a peerless 4722 and the change was very similiar in effect to that of switching from the alps to the goldpoint.
The soundstage is giant, and the lowlevel dynamics are brilliant.
I'm blown away.

My experience with Goldpoint mirrors yours.

I built my diy passive volume control using a Goldpoint/Elma mini-v stepped attenuator.  You're right, the details are stunning, space around instruments and voices sound live and soundstage is big.  It's a great product.
