Thanks, That picture will come in handy if your amp is the one I'm trying to identify in a car ad. I couldn't tell what the amp in the Acura commercial was.

That wasn't one of mine, but it would have been nice if it was!

Your amp & preamp will get the new badges. The faceplate is designed for a new retail line of amps.

BTW: All writing is engraved and the metal is anodized, not painted or powder coated. On top of that, they are made from the heaviest stock available.

Hi Blair.
You know already that I am now using a Decware SET model SE-84C+ until I get the SE-15 amplifier you are building me.
Even if the Decware gears are good looking, they don't have their name on the front of all their units, for me that unacceptable for any serious companies.
You can only find the Decware name and other details, (Model, serial #, etc...) on the bottom plate of the unit. Here in Vietnam, many products from China have no information, other than the model or voltage stated in fine printing on the box.
I understand that Decware, Niteshade and similar products are for audiophiles and audiophiles have basic knowledge about what is a volume control button, input and output jacks, etc... But, I am sure some buyers would like that little printing extra, even if they have to pay extra for it.

Blair

Possibility of retro-fitting these, double-stick tape or something?

Hi-

I can get you a faceplate without mounting holes so it can be attached with adhesive or double face tape.

Hi Blair.
Can I get the same faceplate with my name on it for my SE-15 and how much I would have to rob from my piggy bank ?

Yes- I can make you a faceplate or badges with your logo.

You have a choice of engraving, silkscreening or engraving with a color fill. There are different anodizing colors as well.

While the faceplates and badges are welcome news, this thread is getting a bit confusing.  Which new line of amps are the faceplates for?  My amp and pre are not yet built and I will be getting a badge but no faceplate.  Another member is told he can get a faceplate retrofitted to an existing Nightshade amp.  . Don't get me wrong... I am very excited about my new pieces being built by Blair and am more interested in the sound they will produce than the new badges & faceplates.  As I stated...getting a wee bit confusing.

We've got a new retail lineup of amplifiers coming out and the faceplates are designed for them. Randy, I do not have a faceplate designed for preamps yet and your amp has a three-sided quilted maple wrap, so a badge has to be used. Faceplates can have wood on only the left & right sides.

Note: Your enclosures and wood trim are made. I'm in the wiring process now.

Faceplates or badges are available, but not free to those who already have Niteshade amps. Guy's amp is NOT going to get a faceplate or badge. They were not incorporated into the cost.
