Green Zone is a politically charged non-stop action film staring Matt Damon during the first weeks of the Iraq war. The film follows Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller (Damon) through the confusion and intrigue following the US's invasion of Iraq. Miller's job is to find weapons of mass destruction but is frustrated by not finding any and he wants to know why.

Excellent casting, acting, and cinematography but also with a lot of frantic held camera movement through narrow Baghdad alleys that could induce nausea for some viewers.

4 out of 5 stars.

Saw it just today on DVD and liked it.  Of course, it requires a little suspension of disbelief (most movies, nothing new).  I mean does Miller get around or what?  I'm cynical enough to buy the premise.  I seem to recall the state department had some turkey waiting in the wings to run the new Iraq when suddenly he became a bad idea after we had disenfranchised all the internal resources.  I better stop.  Hadn't I.  Four stars.

I finally rented and watched this movie tonight.  It was an excellent movie that renewed questions that cannot and will not be allowed on this site.  Matt Damon was at the top of his craft in this film.  I thoroughly enjoyed Green Zone and I think anyone that liked The Hurt Locker would enjoy this movie.  My rating 4 out of 5 stars.

I recorded this movie when it premiered on HBO last saturday and just watched it this afternoon. Matt Damon simply gets better & better as an actor with each movie and he was really really good here imho. Easy 4 out of 5 stars.

But I do have to say the only problem that I had with this movie, and it's a BIG PROBLEM is that it hits home with how it represents what went down all too recently. I can't say anything else w/o treading into AudioCircle's taboo territory, which I have no intention of doing. But to say I was moved from this movie would be huge understatement. It left me totally pissed off!!!

On second thought, make that 4.5 out of 5 stars,,,, an extra .5 giving for it's lingering after effects that took a few 3 or so albums to get over it.
