If you'd like a nice slice of Jud Barber's designs but don't have $12K-$30K to drop on Joule Electra monos, then this may be the ticket. Joule described the VAMP integrated as derived from the LA-100 line amplifier and VZN OTL monoblock amps. With four inputs and remote, the VAMP is a hybrid design (tube preamp stage, Hitachi MOSFETS for the juice) and pumps out 100 watts into 8 ohms, the first 20 watts operating in Class A. Remote controls input, volume, and balance.

A superb integrated that I've seen reported was too expensive for Barber to keep making. He said his own self that it gave up very little to his much more expensive OTL monos. Since it includes such pricey parts as Vishay resistors and custom-designed--by Jud Barber--potentiometers, I ain't surprised. Don't quote me, but I believe it sold for somewhere in the neighborhood of $3,500 or $3,750.

In perfect working order; I'd give it a 7/10 rating for some rubs/light scrapes on the paint on top. Faceplate is clean. As you can see, the "e" in Joule is missing.

Comes with original tubes plus premium tubes from Upscale Audio--two 12AU7s and one 6350--purchased this year for $125 and with low hours.
