Takman carbon resistors (break-in)
« on: 27 Jun 2010, 07:47 pm »
I used Takman rex carbon resistors in the signal path of my Pass B1 buffer cause i was looking for a warmer presentation. Well i have warm alright, to the point of being a little dark and recessed. I have almost 100 hrs on them and ready to swap out a few if not all.

But i am wondering if they still might open up, anyone have any "break in" experience with these resistors????

Try more like 300 hours.  I used a bunch of them in a recent mod to my ST70's and they took quite a long time to break in.
