Just came across this site. I have VR-2 speakers and am looking to upgrade to VR5-HSEs. In my listening room, there is limited space so I keep the speakers up against the wall. When I listen, I move them out. Since the floor in the listening room is hardwood, I put felt on the bottom of the speaker "stands" (small blocks of cork/wood) attached to the bottom - no spikes here. Makes them slide easily. Little funky but it works surprisingly well. I haven't heard the VR5-HSEs, but have heard good reviews. I like the VR sound, and like that the two speaker models have about the same footprint and size.
