RAAL and Selah Audio
« on: 24 Jun 2010, 02:43 pm »
More RAAL ribbon speakers on the way, including a WWT with the amorphous transformer and low profile center channels to fit demanding spaces.   :thumb:

We have more RAAL designs than any other company and are becoming the largest importer in the USA.   :D

Sounds like your business is RAAlly growing.

Although I am only two channel with RAAL right now, I'll be curious to see how the center channels come out.

Rick,

Do you sell RAAL tweeters only to customers like myself? If yes what are the prices for a pair?

Both are 3-way designs with dual 4" or 5" woofers. Also in the works is a center that's the same size as the Sardonyx but using the Scan-Speak Illuminator woofers, Morel dome mid, and RAAL 70-10D.

Sorry - we only sell them in kits or assembled speakers.

If not, there are other sources to purchase...

Could I send my Sardonyx, Tanzanite and S6's in for a Raal tweeter upgrade?  :o

Madisound sells them. But I believe that one of the RAAL tweeters that Rick uses (the 70-20XR in my Grandeur) is OEM only so you cannot buy that one.

The construction of the inner bracing is different when using the RAAL so we can't modify existing speakers except for the SSR.

Rick, have you looked at Accuton's new C158-8-085 6" driver?  It looks like it could be spectacular in an array set up.  Very expensive, but I suspect an Accuton-RAAL line array would be truly "over the top"!  We look forward to seeing your new model!

Yes, I've seen that driver and have used an earlier version in an array. Certainly one of the finiest midbass drivers available.

I can't tell you how close I was to doing this...I built a 3-way with an Accuton (C79) and ribbon and was going to use that mid with the RAAL tweeter.  That would be bad-a$$.
