The information for placing an order for the 2 channel/ bi-amp mod is now on the BOLDER Cable website.

Panasonic SA-XR45 mods

The HT mod and options will be added later.

Looks great!

Can't wait for the HT mod.

How's the top end?

That's my only concern as I find it to be lightly 'stabbing' on certain recordings and I wonder if it's an element of the high freq. switching that might remain even after modding?

Still gonna have a deal w/ a power cable you mentioned?
I don't have any special power cord already and figure might as well do it all Bolder Cable which I'm at it.

Dig. cable package deal too maybe?

Ever test those ERS sheets other people mentioned?

I'll still be interested in hearing about the mod vs. mod plus assorted Bybees 'cuz that seems an important yet totally confusing issue to me.

I also anticipate the TH mod!

Hope you could squeeze the sixth channel somewhere on the back, I know you mentioned the sixth will not fit.  But for those that would not be needing the component connection (alot of room there).  Maybe as an option?    It looks as if the 70 model has more room on the back since omitting the fan.

I have no intention of removing any other inputs or outputs to make room for the 6th channel speaker output.

The HT mod willl have outputs for 5 channels of speaker levels and the line level sub output.

There is not any problem with harshness with the modded unit. Most the the brightness is from the very poor internal wiring, connections and output terminals. Plus the stock Panny NEEDS at least 500 hours of CONSTANT use, not just turned on, to start to sound really good.

I am not sure if there will be any "deals". There is a hell of a lot of labor and parts involved with this mod. I am already having to phase out some products and services to free up time to work on these receivers.

I have built a version of the NITRO power cable for use with the receiver. I will try it out soon. There may be a introductory price on the power cable.

The sound of the receiver with and without Bybees in the speaker leads and at the digital input will be compared sometime in the next couple of weeks.

I realize that everybody wants everthing NOW

I am a fairly slow and methodical person that wants to make sure everything will work correctly the first time one of my customers uses one of my products. Be patient.

"Be patient."

I am at least. I may be asking a lot of questions but I have no problem with you taking your time and getting things just right.

I'm cool with no rear 6th channel. Seems sad to waste a whole speaker output, but IMO a rear center sucks anyway.
I've tried it in my system and found it useless.

Now dual discrete side and rear surrounds in 7.1 can be cool, but can't be done on this Pannie no matter what.

Now.... HURRY UP AND GET MY DAMN MOD READY!!! hehehe

Will the HT price be about the same as the 2 channel mods?

The HT mods should come in at around $750.00.

There is a bit more labor, another set of binding posts, more wire and four more capacitors.
