iOS4 now available.

Works on the 3G and 3GS iPhones, as well as the 2nd and 3rd gen iPod Touches. It's a no go for the original iPhones and Touches.

Upgraded my iPod touch (3rd gen) to it earlier this morning.  The home screen now shows the wallpaper as background to the app icons.  The iPod music app now includes a thumbnail album art cover in the track list, including info on release date, etc.  Nicest find so far:  The remote app is now wifi all-the-time (i.e doesn't go to sleep/disconnect when display does.. )   :thumb:

Wasn't that an optional feature prior?

Yes, but it didn't work.. :)...actually, I think the option was for "stay connected"...but somehow still meant that disconnects could occur when sleeping sometimes.  I can say that the new setup seems to never need to search for a music server library, etc (of course my data points are only about 10 hrs old).  Maybe the real issue here is that wifi stays connected even if you leave the Remote app?

Net./net,  this wifi always-on feature goes beyond the Remote app to the whole device.  Although not a Skype user, my understanding is that if the touch was sleeping you couldn't previously get push commands, calls, etc.
