Suggestions for high quality equilization software?
« on: 21 Jun 2010, 09:33 pm »
Hi all,
Can anyone suggest a good quality software equilizer that would work on my latest generation 27" iMac (in conjunction with iTunes). iTunes has one built in but I don't know if the quality is any good.

Pure Music:

It does support Audio Units plugins and is top notch highend player. It is controlled by iTunes, but doesn't use iTune decoding, just the file handling/transport functions. A couple of my friends are using it with good results. $129

Vox :

I read somewhere on the web that it supports Audio Units plugins, ymmv

Audacity for Mac can EQ static files with VST plugin support, but not in real time. I think you want real time for playback processing. Free

Thanx,
I'll look into these. Is the EQ in garage band no good?
