Seriously - this guy posted on the Industry Ads and his speakers look really nice appear to have very high quality drivers -  http://www.clearwaveloudspeaker.com/

They look really good. Has anyone heard these first hand? I'm intrigued.

I think they are on display at Response Audio in upstate NY.  I am not nearby and have not heard them but if you look at the drivers he uses and go to Madisound they are not cheap.

The thread is here:  http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=83430.0

That's not a bad price as long as the sound can follow the price range. Too bad I'm on the opposite coast.  :banghead:

I'd love to hear them as well.  Even though I'm not quite that far it's many hundred miles from where I am.

Road trip!!!

I posted on the other thread and asked the owner if he would consider coming to the Capital Audiofest next year.  If I get up that way I'd certainly take an extra road trip.

Please dont take this the wrong way BUT "the cost of "NEW" pmc speakers is a joke!
Used prices are high enough but new is just way tooooo much.

Isn't that true of anything hi-end these days? I bought a pair of used (virtually new) PMC DB2i's at a discount and am very happy with them. I'll eventually buy some PMC floorstanders, but not till the cats are dead.

Not everything. PMC is overpriced, imo. Considering what you get for your money. Dynaudio, for example is a better value.

Road trip!!!

I'll pick up Dave, so he can finally buy some dagnamit speakers! I could see Dave making a custom cabinet for the speakers out of a tombstone or a coffin in honor of his awesome website!

Haha. I'm not ready to buy anything at the moment! That would be pretty cool.

And you call yourself a Dynaudio man  :o :D :D

Knudsen was the raccoon mascot used in Dynaudio ads in the 80's and early 90's. That pic is actually a Dynaudio ad.

I'm not a Dynaudio man...I haven't even heard them yet. I just feel they're technically superior. But, that doesn't always translate to better sound...

Cool, thanks for letting me know.
