FS: Griffin PowerWave Class-T Digital Amp
« on: 19 Jun 2010, 06:04 am »
Hello,

The PowerWave (since discontinued) made a lot of headlines when it was first introduced.  The biggest feature over other existing low powered Tripath amps is that you can input USB directly from your PC/Mac.  In other words it's an amp and USB dac all in one.  I was just using it to power a pair of Silverline Minuets for desktop use.  Worked and sounded great.  I have since moved the Minuets to a dedicated listening space and will be driving them with something more powerful.  The PowerWave puts out 10 watts per channel (typical for low powered Tripath amps).  Great entry for someone who wants to run a computer based system with efficient speakers.  I don't have the original box, manual or power adapter.  Includes speaker breakout box, generic USB cable and generic 12v, 1.5amp power supply.  I am the original owner.  A few years ago I opened the PowerWave up to see about installing it into a different enclosure.  I never did change enclosures but because the case is plastic I had to apply some tape to the exterior to keep it closed.  Case is not damaged (and looks 8/10) but I wanted to disclose this.  I'm asking $50 and this includes PayPal and shipping (USPS) within the continental US.

Thank you,
Mathew

It's a shame the P-Wave has been discontinued, this is the first I've heard of it.  It really is a great little amp.  I have one and would hate to part with it.
