FS: Threshold T-100 60 w/ch Class A amplifier
I am letting go of my Threshold T-100 60w/ch class A amplifier. This is a Nelson Pass design and one hell of an amp for those who are looking for a class A amp but require a bit more power than the norm.
At 60w/ch, this amp will drive anything I own including my power hungry Domus Mirage speakers. I would guess that any speaker around 88db efficiency and up would cruise along easily with the T-100 and you get the sweetness of Class A circuitry to boot. The amp handles low impedance speakers without issue
I'm a tube guy at heart but the tube like T-100 has provided me a tube sound with the power needed for lesser efficient speakers. It only has been run in a second system when I don't want to burn up 2A3's pr 300B's.
Great sounding amp! no issues!
Threshold made the T-100 between 1994 and 1998.
Cosmetically, the amplifier is in very good condition other than a few superficial scratches on the left as can be seen in the photos. They are not gouges and are not noticable unless you are very close to the amp and are looking for them. The camera flash honestly makes them look more prominent than they actually are in person.
The T-100 can be run as a stereo amplifier or bridged to mono via a switch on the rear apron. It also provides provisions for both RCA and balanced input along with additional terminals for bi-wiring.
I had a .pdf of the manual but lost that last week in a computer meltdown. I will look at my old emails and see if I can find it there.
This is a heavy amplifier at 60lbs and container should add another 5 lbs or so. I pack well and will work with you to find the most reasonable method to get the amplifier to you.
I thought that I would try and make this amplifier available here first for a nice price. Just so you know, it will be off to Audiogon very soon at a higher price. The Audiogon price will be set at $1150.00 obo.
