Here something you guys might appreciate.

When I was a kid, I had a job working in a German bakery. The owners went home to Germany during the time that the World Cup was going on, and left their son to run the place while they were gone (about a month or so).

They came home with various souvenirs for everyone, and for me (knowing I loved soccer) they brought a limited production soccer ball with the names and signatures of all of the German world cup players.  :thumb:

The first strike from the Dutch today was without question the finest goal I've seen this Cup. Unbelievable placement. Maicon's goal against the North Koreans was pretty damn impressive as well but it's debatable whether his goal was a shot or a cross.

And is that Franz Beckenbauer at the very top?

Yes it is. I can't believe that you were able to make that out.

True dat...Forlan's reply wasn't too shabby either. The two captains certainly put their thumbs down on the keepers. Long range canon shots.

Man, the Germans showed very little effort while the Hispaniards attacked and attacked.

Now, on Sunday history will be made....Spain vs Holland....It has a historical background that does not favor the Spanish but, with today's showing, they might be able to re write history.

I didn't see Spain's game against Paraguay.  But against Portugal, their defense was so solid the Portuguese barely saw a scoring opportunity.  And while the defense didn't seem to dominate today, they completely shut the Germans down.  I can only remember one really threatening moment in front of goal from a team that looked like they could score every time they brought the ball upfield against Argentina.  I'm starting to think that the Spanish defense is wildly underrated.

I think Spain will beat the Dutch, unless several well-timed and overly dramatic dives from the Orangemen get one or two Spaniards sent off.

wow...I am surprised at the dominating play of the Spaniards, the Germans looked slow and heavy...the Spaniards were all over the field. It felt like Germany was playing with 9 men.
If they play like this against the Dutch they can win their first World Cup.

If you watch the octopus clip, you will noticed that it picks the Germany box first...... studied it for a while and then moved on to pick Spain.

I never had it that fresh but I do remember eating it, as it was chopped and still moving, when I was a child in Incheon, Korea.

Looks like Paul has spoken again - Its spain!

Seriously, i'd love for the owners to run the test again just to verify if he'll pick the same team.

And I thought that Paul as a German, only foretold German matches.  For once, I do believe that if Spain plays the way it did against Germany, Holland will go down in the game.

I am going against the Octopussy...betting on the Dutch to work some magic.
And I am leaning towards Uraguay over the Germans.
