Is there a fix for the itunes import crash?
« on: 4 Jun 2010, 11:51 am »
I'm sure most of you have experienced the issue.  You upload a few Cd's with no problem at all then you try another and itunes will start to get the track names and info then it just stops.   :duh:  Sometimes you can eject the disc but most of the time you need to restart.

Does anyone know if there is a fix for this yet?

Try opening the disc utility and mount the audio cd.  Another option is to eject and insert the CD again but the first option is faster.

Some CDs seem to have issues mounting but I've not entirely sure why but this has improved with lastest OSX updates.

How do you do the first option?

It will not always let me eject the Cd.  Not mounted?

Look for an application in the utilities folder called "disc utility".  Once started you should see your internal HDD, any externel drives along with cd-rom drive if a disc is inserted.   This will listed both mounted and unmounted drives which simply put is either listed in the finder or not.
