^^ oh they have a guitarist....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqFb6VXW86Y
I have to say that I am totally unimpressed by that. Perhaps I'm too old to like that kind of noisy guitar playing.
You know it has been a while since I have seen this. All this talk made me add the blu-ray to the top of my Netflix queque for a 2nd viewing. I wanna see Jimmy Page play air guitar again to Link Wray's "Rumble". [BTW, his music library looked incredible in that clip...]
Good call on the movie ... Last time the White stripes were in Saskatoon. Upon randomly picking a bowling alley Jack and Meg set up drums and amp and performed on the lanes....imagine that....
At least he didn't give himself a friggin fake name! (but I like the Edge.....talk about a distinct sound!)
I highly recommend viewing The Raconteurs playing Austin City Limits in support of Broken Boy Soldier (one of my favs) from around 2008. Their live version of Blue Veins is all killer, no filler. Reminded me a little of watching old/early Led Zeppelin clips.I found a clip of Level that is pretty good. See http://www.austincitylimits.org/component/seyret/?task=videodirectlink&id=126I recall now that Cat Power was on this same episode and was fantastic as well. All good stuff.Kenreau
