Nice! Finally a jazz list. I'm been thinking about picking up a good jazz album. Unfortunately, I'm not very hip on the jazz scene so I don't know many artists'. Any of these albums have cellos and pianos perhaps?

Ron Carter's Piccolo is titled by his use of the piccolo bass throughout the record.  He uses the bow on it extensively.  Maybe not a cello in the truest sense but what is a cello but a mini bass anyway (I guess some would say a huge viola).  Give it a try.  I think you'll especially like the track entitled "Sunshower".  It features lots of piano and bowed piccolo bass.  I have the recording in vinyl circa 1978.  I don't know if or in what media it may still be available.  Happy listening .
