He almost always brought tremendous uniqueness to his characters (love him in True Romance as an example).

A real great - along the lines of a Christopher Walken, John Turturro, or Gary Oldman - similar actors in my estimation - they all bring a little extra crazy sauce to the basics of a character!

Damn, he seemed fairly healthy when he was doing the Starz series Crash, I always enjoyed the characters he played in the later part of his life. Dennis Hopper was quite the character, a 1 of a kind type of guy.  :thumb:

Everybody probably knows this already but I'll say it anyway- Hopper was second banana on screen to Fonda and Nicholson in Easy Rider, but it was he who wrote it.
