Nice. May I suggest some speaker cable that goes well with the review's conclusions?

Good Review.........very Short&Sweet to say the least..........was kinda hoping they would go into depth a little more though.

I agree - it is a positive review but it could have been one of those fill in the blanks and mail it in reviews.  Example: the 5th paragraph, "Accompanying the BP26 for the review was the MPS-2 high-current external power supply, further improving the sound by lowering line noise and reducing distortion. Four Bryston components can be connected to the MPS-2, and for the test the BCD-1 CD player and BDA-1 d/a converter were attached"  leads you to believe the MPS-2 is supplying power to the BCD and BDA.  If they were attached it could only have been for the 12V trigger signal which is not mentioned.  The review also says that the MPS-2 is optional -- I guess that is true if you just want to look at the BP26...

Yeah, cool review. But was it a 14BSST or SST2?

"Hello James,

Read Page 60 of the August Issue of "The Absolute Sound" very carefully.  Another win for the Bryston CD Player, this time over the more than twice as expensive Marantz UD9004 Universal Player."

Mhhh... when someone auditions stuff down under, does he just sit upside down, or does he also need to swap left/right channels?

Hi James

Do you know the amp he tested?, was it a square with the new transformer?

Ho werd - no I am sorry I do not - knowing how long it takes to move from review request to print though I would assume it is the non squared version.

Essentially yes - there are a few minor changes in the preamp section.

hello james, I would have hesitated to take sp3 as soon as possible but I also have the best sound from 2ch. I hope that sp3 is equivalent to bp26.
