There are a couple of things 'funky' about it:
* The LEDs that show signal level are mismatched between the two channels. At equal volume, one side will show a high signal level while the other shows barely any signal
* The XLR inputs have mismatched gain. You need to turn the volume control up more on one side to get the same output on both channels. I matched the levels using an SPL meter. The RCA inputs are fine. I haven't tried the TRS inputs.
As far as I remember, it's been this way since I bought it. This was my second A500, the first one was sent back because the volume controls wouldn't turn without rubbing, so I decided to just keep this one since there was no functional impact. For the last several months this has been driving the woofers in my speakers, I've also used it bridged to drive my sub. This should work fine for something like a garage stereo, or as a sub amp.
