For those of you who have ordered from JandR.com, how long does it take for them to ship-out the item?

I ordered my 45 Thursday of last week. . .it said it was in stock, etc.  I just checked my account and is says it hasn't shipped yet.  I find this a bit ridiculous.

I've been waiting longer than you.

I'm going to try calling them today.

I hope they're still F'in' being MADE?? Man!

I have the EXACT same deal with Nice Electronics (.com). I ordered it on the 4th, they said they have it IN stock and I would get it in 7-10 days. I checked on my order today and it's still in 'processing'. I called and apparently they *don't* have it in stock but are expecting them tomorrow. I've heard this song and dance before. I'm getting a little fed up at the out-and-out lies by these online companies.

BTW, I paid a bit of a premium going with Nice since they are supposed to be a higher level of service and satisfaction.  :?

Here is the e-mail I just got from JandR's customer service:

Thank you for your inquiry.  Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), we were swamped with orders for the SAXR45 and it went out of stock before we could update our stock flags.  The unit is currently on backorder.  We are expecting it to arrive back in stock in the next week or so.  As soon as it arrives back in, we'll be shipping it out to you.

Damnit!

I ordered one from comp4sure and gave them my email address. After seeing rumors of them being sold out on this site I called, and they said my order was cancelled. Now I just get spams from them, and the wait has trippled everywhere else in the meantime. shit.

Who would of guessed so many read AudioCircle  :?

I'm in the same boat with JandR.   I've actually considered cancelling because who knows what will be released in the next six months.   The 25 I currently own is great for certain music but I'm really hankering for a tube system.

I placed an order with an XR45 from J and R on 1/30 when they were back ordered. They got them back in stock on 2/4, unit was shipped out on 2/5. I just received the unit today, right on time.  :)

No problem at all with shipping.

Hey guys,

I've ordered and bought (and buy) stuff (originally from New York) from J&R for years...they are reputable folks.

Unless sold in the past few years, Jack and Rochelle run a tight ship.  No pleasure to do business with on the other end for vendors like me in the past (they squeeze us, take it from experience), but they do what is right for their customers - you all.

If they don't have it, it is likely on backorder almost everywhere there is a good price on it.  All the online discount guys that are out of stock right now are probably all waiting on the same 45' container of Pannies unloading from Japan/Korea/China or Malaysia (take your pick, don't know where this Pannie is made) pulling into Port of Newark next week.

Hang tough - preobaly everybody, literally, in same boat.  :hyper:

I should also mention, just because J & R are on the up-and-up, it doesn't mean you can't run into a dumb-ass/wise-ass or unethical salesman there.

But, it can happen anywhere...really.  Ciao.

True... my beef is with companies that say they have it (I always verify on the phone) but don't. What happened at J&R sounds like an admin mistake due to more orders than product and the webpage unable to keep up. I want to try them but I don't think now is the time...  :|

I ordered the XR45 from J & R approx. 2 weeks ago.  It was out of stock at that time.  When I called to place the order, I was told the unit would be in stock in about a week.  The unit was in stock in 9 days, was shipped to me (in Milwaukee, WI) and received within 5 calendar days.  So, no problemo here with J & R's service whatsoever.

I ordered mine little over a week ago from J&R.com (after stupid ass comp4less said they're discontinued but I had to call 'em to find that out!).

Called 'em yesterday to get an update on if they got any in and they tell me mine's already shipped out. They told me they'd email me and they did have my right email address but I never got an email.

They gave me the UPS tracking # and I should get it this afternoon.

If someone wants the XR45 I'd got through J&R. Looks like they're still getting them in and shipping them out ASAP.
Good company. I've ordered from them several times before and always worked out fine.

This time I just didn't get an email, but since the order did ship ASAP that's ok I guess.

I just called them before I saw your post. They have 21 on backorder right now. They have 85 on order but the salesman wasn't convinced they would get them because the XR70 is supposed to come out to replace the XR45 in May. I was going to order one anyway, but it looks like they took it off of their webpage. Can someone verify this for me? If you find the XR45, can you post the link for me?

Thanks,
Randog

FEEEEEEEECK!

I just called again on my order with Nice Electronics and they told me it has now been discontinued... they told me they will refund my order in 24-48 hours. WHAT? They billed me without having the merchandise? BEWARE OF NICE ELECTRONICS!

This is becoming a real joke. It looks to me that Panasonic's supply has been depleted before they had planned to phase the XR45 out with the introduction of the XR70. I'm sure they are kicking themselves... and so am I.

Another update for youze...

I called J&R to get on their backorder list and between now and the last time I called, their system has been changed from 'backordered' to 'discontinued'.

Also, another new model coming out along with the XR70 is an XR50. I don't know anything about the new models other than that.
