The new Variety says the Next Bat film will be Batman:Year One!! Woo Hoo!

No cheesy villians!! WHOO HOOO!!

Katie Holmes is in it!!! WHHOOOOO HHHOOOOO heheh

Looks like the writer is the guy who did Blade and I thought that was a cool flick and much better than I expected.

They're going to come up w/ new theme music (good, it was getting old).
No nipples on the bat suit (Queer eye for the Bat Guy).

It's going to be much more about Bruce than any of the other films.

Sounds like they're really going to make it VERY diff. and sounds like the perfect direction to me.

Now I'm excited about it!

The look isn't going to be super dark and fantasy gothic either.

They're going to make it much more realistic and use buildings and areas from several large cities (from around the world) so it'll look like a real major metro area, but not one that you've exactly ever been to.

Sounds great to me!

Well, hopefully it is similar to the first one. . .darker and not as corny/comicy. . .

The one w/ Chris O'Donnel was one of the worst movies ever made. . .hell, the last 2 Batmans just kinda sucked.

Sounds good.  I'm one who feels that all of the Batman films were weak.  The Burton ones are the 'best' but he's never been a good action film director.

I also thought all of them were weak.

They all looked 'dark' be were all also cheesy. I guess the 3rd was my fav. but all were bad IMO.

The Joker boppin' around to a Prince song in the first one with his generic Joker patch wearing goons was beyond stupid.

This next one looks to totally scrap all that and start new. I'm sure there'll be 'dark' scenes at night, but looks like it'll be far more realistic and have actual real scenes in the daylight with actual characters who say things that matter. hehe

Cool Cool Cool!!!!   I was looking on my shelves today and passed over Year One and The Long Halloween for Road to Perdition, but I had already read the former two and I hadn't read Perdition.  But, as somebody who has always like Christian Bale, and who loved Year One, this is shaping up nicely.

So who is the director?

Christopher Nolan. Best known for directing Memento.

Oooh, nice!

I just hope Batman doesn't have this condition...and writing all over his Batsuit.  "My name is Bruce."
