   Louis,

    I was going to be either the 455th or 456th (I've lost count) person to inquire as to when the 4.5 Alnico Drivers might be ready, but I stepped back to gain a wider perspective, and that is when a slightly different question occurred to me. 
    Is there perhaps, in the super secret Laboratory of Omega Speakers something else brewing?  Something that might sound even better than 4.5 Alnicos?  It would explain a lot of things. 
    Louis, you know what Lab I am speaking of.  The one where you have to move the big heavy piece of equipment to uncover the trap door.  Where you have to walk down the looong flight of stairs to stand in front of the massive door with the big brass knocker and the old fashioned peep hole.  The one where you have to lift the brass knocker and knock three times and use the super secret pass word, "Igor sent me" 
    The Lab where all those marvelous sounding Omega Speakers are created. 
    It's okay to tell me; Igor cousin, Eyegor sent me.

I too have been wondering what Louis has been up to. I guess he's been tied up with the logistics of moving his shop. A while ago he introduced The Stick but it's still not on his website and he has done little in the way of promotion. Of course, we know he's an audio artist so the business side of the audio industry probably goes against the grain.

I have been working on something.

I did something a little crazy especially in these times and created another speaker company.

97dB, a new driver and under $800 a pair. It's not a small speaker. There are actually two models in this line.

There is a standmount and a floorstander in this line.

Although it does not seem like it, Omega began selling speakers that were not necessarily one way fullrange designs.  I still remember their older 2 way loudspeakers, I even saw some as left over demos in a unnamed Hifi listening room about 5 years ago.  The drivers must have been some Focal tweeters and I think it might have been some Audax drivers, the last part I cannot be sure.

You're correct about that one. I had a line called Marathon years ago. I did like French drivers at the time.

The Focal midbass was very nice. I also had a lot of Polydax 8" drivers. Same as what went into Spica.

Thanks and just waiting on the finished drivers. I will have pictures up.

They are built around an 8" driver. The chassis of the drivers are being powder coated right now and assembly shouldn't take too long.
