If this is for the new Buffalo then you need some type of output circuit. Lots of options, discrete solid state, op-amp based, tubes, transformers. All can sound good, depends on what you like.
I've built one with tubes and another with transformers, both sound excellent, just a little different. It's important to chose or design something with low noise since the ES9018 has stellar noise and distortion specs.
