When you talk about worst saxophonists, it reminds me of this song from Billy Ocean: Get Outta My Dreams

Steve Grossman has to get some kind of compensation for having his solos edited out on the "Live at the Fillmore" lp.Imagine a young player getting a chance to work with Miles and  Columbia decides they don't have the space for you.Whoever wrote that original post did not listen closely enough to Hank Mobley on "Live at the Blackhawk",he deserves proper recognition.

While it is one of Miles' not good recordings- I think I read that the tapes were so faulty it couldn't be remastered with any justice- Mobley's playing is really outstanding on Miles at Carnegie Hall.  And I agree with whoever said Cannonball outplays Coltrane on Kind Of Blue.  Trane plays first and is nice on Flamenco Sketches from this but then comes Cannonball and he does it again.
