i used to have a 606, liked it but way too big,,, the new 608 is a tad smaller and more powerful, so its this or the rc260 or the 8555.
i think the audesey eq is most impressive to me, which may not be on the 8555,
ok so from what i can tell the new 608 is exactly the same as the rc260 except the rc260 is lacking a pc vga? input and also lacks a sirius satalite radio input (bummer, not) the only other thing i could see the rc260 was missing was the THX select 2 plus?????????
now i alsway thought the thx select 2 plus was just a sticker,,, am i missing something?
another main concern i have is pre outs. both above units have 2 sub outs and 1 zone 2 pre out?
and on the tx 8555 there is a sub out and a pre out whch is perfect,,, so i worry the zone 2 pre out on the other units wont act as aormal pre out????????/
i need to make sure i have a good analog pre out so that i can hook up my headphone amp. it would be a plus to if it was affected by the volume and eq,, or even better had switch between fixed signal output and volume contrlled output..
know of any other worthy amp/ pre amps , etc like this??
