Hi Folks,

I have not recieved my latest copy of Absolute Sound yet but Wendell Diller of Magnepan called me yesterday to tell me there is a review on the Roger Sanders Electrostatics in the latest issue of Absolute Sound Magazine and Harry Pearson has some very nice things to say about the speakers mated with the 28B's :D

My pair at home in room 1:

Congrats James!  There is no doubt 28B will make those Electrostats sing.  Even a pair of 7B similarly just as nice, clean and fast!

On my list of things to do is get some Sanders Sound System 11's.  I use very little room damping also with my current speakers and would continue doing so especially since RS shuns them.  His speaks radiate both ways and I expect that's why.  Hope there is a full review coming in a future issue.  Sure wouldn't mind trying them with some Bryston amps.

I love the slight toe-in that James gives to the amps  :eyebrows:

I am really surprised he stacks them like that, with no air flow under over the 28s.

Yeah, Mike should void his warranty based on this pic.  :icon_twisted:

Actually it is a 7B on top of a 28B - 7B for the dynamic woofer and 28B for the electrostatic panel. Its an ACTIVE system.

Yah but what about the air flow issues ontop of the 28's. Wouldnt that heat the 28's?

Hi werd,

Not really the 7B is much smaller than the 28B so there is plenty of airflow around the 28B/7B.

I am currently running Martin Logan Prodigys with 7bst, it would be interesting to see how they compare against the Model 10c and 7bsst2.  I did own a pair of the 7bsst2, but had to sell them to purchase the Prodigys and found a great pair of 7bst to replace the 7bsst2.

Looks like more and more reviewers are using Bryston! Now, that's cool... 8)

I have a small oscillating fan off to the side of my amplifiers to keep the air moving around them. I am still in the “doodling” process for an aesthetically pleasing air circulation system for my component stand.  Heat and electronics is not a normally good combination.

Be well...
