For sale is an Empirical Audio Off-Ramp Turbo 2 with the balanced digital AES/EBU output and a Superclock 4, which I bought in 2006. It has been upgraded to the driverless firmware, which I believe (but am not sure about) is the same as in the Turbo 3. The external power supply is included.


Price: $350 incl. shipping.


Note: This is not a DAC. The Off-Ramp is a converter that allows you to connect any computer with a USB connection to any DAC with a AES/EBU input. It greatly improves the sound over many USB-DACs. It would be nice if Steve would comment on how much different this is then a current version.

Agreed.

The website states three improvements:

   1.  Three outputs standard: I2S, S/PDIF Coax and AES/EBU
   2. Improved voltage regulation and lower jitter
   3. Sync detection

But that doesn't say much about the sound. If anyone in the Bloomington, IN, area is up for a test, let me know while I still have the Turbo2
