Status Acoustic Titus pair and/or Atlas
« on: 13 May 2010, 02:23 pm »
I have one of only 2 pair of Piano Gloss black Status Acoustic Titus that were made. These are no longer made as the material the cabinets are made of is no longer available to the makers for a reasonable price.  They are in the works of revamping their stuff, but it will be a few years probably before they are sold again. These are not the newer ones that you may find pictures of with multiple tweeters and more than mids. These are the ones that won the Best sound of show in 2001 I believe it was. This set is about 4 years old and it retailed for around $40k I believe.  I am the 2nd owner. They have the spikes. 6 10" subs in each side for a total of 12 woofers for the pair. Amazing bass output and amazing sound overall. I have them triamped currently, but they sounded great with just one amp also. Just personal tastes as I have a DEQX for active crossover use.

I'm trying to get my theater more family friendly and with no grills on these and I can't justify installing them inside a wall cabinet due to the loss of SQ, I'm going to just sell them and go with in walls or something I can hang on a wall so I don't have to freak when kids are in the room.

Asking $15,000 obo which is less than half price and still under warranty. For a local audition in Utah, let me know. Shipping would be very difficult, but I'll assist in whatever you want to do. They are 280 lb PER speaker for a total of over 500 lb uncrated. No boxes are with these as they were hand delivered and installed by the manufacturer.

I also have a pair of granite look Atlas' that has the same mid and tweets, but one 12" woofer in each cabinet. They sound equally good, but not as much woofer extension and don't take up near as much space.  I have the original crates for them still. This set was used in a review and special care was used in them to assure their best operation for obvious reasons. They wanted to help out their review as best as possible. I can't find that review anywhere though. These are around 130 lbs each uncrated so probably 150 to 170 lb in the crates. Retail for these was around $15,000 I believe. Asking $7000 obo.

LCR Mediette are also available if desired.
