A couple months ago I demo'ed Amarra mini and Pure Music.  I preferred Amarra mini and bought it with the dongle.  I've been using it feeding a bnc HiFace to the bnc digi input of my MW Transporter, and still compare it to using Squeezebox software feeding the Transporter via Ethernet. To me these are very close in SQ and my preference seems to go back & forth.

After reading lots of new buzz about the newer versions of Pure Music, this weekend I downloaded the demo again. Whoa!  Now I much prefer PM over either Amarra mini or the Squeezebox feed.  To me PM has improved all across the board, more vivid musical picture.....I suspect I'm now going to spring the $129 for PM!!

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I took the plunge with PM when it was available for the $79 intro price.  I run a MacPro with Lynx AES16e but lately I've been listening thru USB.  Sounds good to me. . .

There was no way I was going to pay Amarra's price.

I got Amarra mini on sale but it still was more than PM and can't do 24/196.      I'm thinking of selling my dongle !
