Sold: Monarchy Audio DIP 48/96 UpsamplerBest when used with NonOverSampling DACs. I was using this with a Paradisea+ DAC.
It provides a much quieter background and bigger soundstage.
I am selling to help fianace upgrading to an Empirical Audio USB Off-Ramp 3.
Connection: Source (PC/CD/DVD player) --> DIP 48/96 Upsampler --> DAC
Used to provide:
- Sample conversion; upsamples from 44.1(standard CD) to 48 or 96 KHz (user selectable)
- Signal conditioning (jitter reduction)
- Signal boosting (Upsampler will drive 75 Ohm cables up to 100 ft)
- Ground isolation (from input to output)
- Format conversion (TOSLink to RCA, RCA to XLR, TOSLink to XLR)
Please note:
- This unit does not allow for AC3 or DTS signal passthrough.
- "Your PC/CD/DVD transport may be outputting various signal formats (regular CD,
DVD audio etc...). If a new signal is fed into the Upsampler, sometimes it might be
necessary to unplug, wait for 4 or 5 seconds, and then plug back the AC input."
I found this to be normal when changing sources also. However... "when the digital
data is received at the Upsampler, a (green) LOCK light indicates that the signal has
been captured."
