This one is cancelled for good. There has been approximately zero interest in many months of having this posted in various places, and in the mean time things have improved enough, fiscally speaking, that I can now afford to hold on to this amp, so that's it, it is no longer for sale and most likely never will be.

Ok folks, I've dropped the price to a roc bottom $1500 and am going to bribe you potential buyers with a totally free set of ultimate tubes for this amp. Buy the amp at my $1500 price, and I'll throw in an absolutely NOS pair of Mullard/RAF el84/CV2495 output tubes, an absolutely NOS Amperex 1950s pinch-waist 7 dj8, and a anos mullard/blackburn (amperex or phillips label) GZ-34 from the early 60s. This is nearly $550 worth of superb tubes and they will come with the amp, along with all the other tubes previously mentioned.

This is really painful, to have to do, but I must sell this amp and I'm willing to really bite the bullet on this one.

I'll give it a few days here again, and then edit the agon ad to offer the same incentive, so don't wait too long if you're on the fence.

Jim,

If I wasn't up to my as* in subsidizing my kids graduation related expenses and having just purchased a nice pair of Omega Revolution speakers from George (Zybar) I would be all over this amp.

Bump for a solid AC citizens and a great amplifier built by one of the best, Eddie Vaughn. Anyone thinking about trying the SET amplifier thing ought to be PM'ing Jim ASAP. Me, I'll be kicking myself tomorrow morning for not having jumped on this one.

Ah, to be a self professed audioholic.

One last incentive to the rest of you... $1400 without the boutique Mullard el84s. I'll be posting this on agon today as well.

Wouldn't know about the Mullards -- they've never been used at all.

Bet you didn't know that those new speakers of yours were originally mine and made with the funky color combo on request. Louis was actually happy to do it too -- of course. George upgraded the drivers though, so I never heard them as they are now.

Well, I knew George bought them from a fellow AC member. I like the color combination and hope to get some more listening in this week. The last month has been killer busy, especially weekends. Good luck with the Carina amp. I'm sure its a sweety.

Jim is a great seller and comes highly recommended.

If I still owned the Omega speakers, I sure would be thinking hard about pairing them with the Carina.

Bump-a-roo. Price is $1350 all inclusive, and with a growing list of tubes. Exceptional amp, all American designed and built, solid as a rock, and the sweetest el84 amp anywhere. Sounds *MUCH* bigger than it's 1.6/3.2 watts.

If no interest at this price, I'll send it to somebody to do the minor cosmetic repairs and then it will be much more expensive, so jump on it while you can.
