Hi John - FWIW my experience with buying a second identical body is that in practice I ended up using it far far less than I thought. The technology is only going to get better and cheaper.

That's something to consider, but part of the problem for me is operating different cameras gets confusing.  That's why I thought about parting with the Kx.  Adding a third camera to the mix will only make things worse.

Right, but why do you need two in the first place?

Anyway. Did zybar ever buy a camera? Or was this all an elaborate ruse to get one on permanent loan?  ;)  :D

It's like anything, two cars, two houses, two women etc; not necessary but it's nice to have back up, or in my case different units for different situations.

OK

I'll work on getting those backup systems into place. I'm not talking about the camera now. :green:

Not yet.

I am about to send Rim his camera and lenses back (big thank you to Rim), but I continue to use a friend's D70.

With the replacement for the D90 about to be announced, I might wait a little longer and either grab a D90 as its price gets slashed or wait to buy its replacement.
