I am attending CanJam in Chicago next month, and wondered if RWA is featuring products there?  I would like to try the Isabella to compare it to my Isabellina. 

I plan on bringing my ATH-W1000X headphones to CanJam, which I am finding pair really well with my Isabellina HPA.  For those that own the HD650 and/or K701 like I do, I think you would be impressed by the W1000X.

I hope to see other RWA owners in Chicago.  Cheers.

I was really looking forward to making it to CanJam, but we're moving this weekend and I'm going to be busy during the next few weekends helping out with settling in (especially with my wife being 5 months pregnant) - so I don't think I'll be able to make it to CanJam. 

I'll check in with Ken at ALO and see if he has a fully-loaded Isabella in stock to bring.  If not, hopefully there will be some RWA owners there to represent!

Good news!

Ken Ball of ALO Audio will be bringing a fully-loaded Isabella to Can Jam as his main source/headphone amp combo!  So Morgan, it looks like you'll get your wish (but I wish I could be there to meet you and many others in person).

Also worth noting - Sennheiser will be running an Isabellina HPA for demoing their HD800s.  I already shipped them a unit for the show.

So there will be some RWA representation at Can Jam!

I would love to try the Audeze LCD-2 with the Isabella at CanJam, as well as the HD800s, as early impressions of the Audeze LCD-2 seem to be very favorable - even when compared to the Stax 007-MKIIs.  I understand that ALO will be carrying Audeze (see their Head-Fi forum), and hopefully they will bring some to CanJam next week.

I'm sorry I won't get to meet you there this year, but hopefully another time.  I'll post some impressions when I get back.

The Audeze LCD-2's are amazing and probably Ken's favorite when paired with the fully-loaded Isabella.  He'll be bringing this combo. 

CanJam and other HeadFi meets are a great place to check out gear and meet people, but the room(s) tend to be quite loud with all the people - so it can be hard to do critical listening with all the background noise.  Still - you should be able to at least get a flavor of a lot of equipment.  Like a kid in a candy store!
