My Eastsound E-5 CD player was purchased new in 2006 from Cattylink.com for $800. The transport was replaced in 2008. The unit works perfectly and is in very good condition. See 6moons and Head-fi.org for reviews and impressions of this player. Bottom line: it sounds like but is much less expensive than a Meridian G08. I am trying to sell the player locally from the Upper West Side of Manhattan, where I live. The reason for a local sale is that I do not have the box it came in. (Being an audiophile newbie at the time of original purchase, I threw the box out.) I am willing to part with it for a nominal amount (around $200 or so) to anyone who is willing to pick it up. Otherwise it will go into storage. Reason for sale: I upgraded to the PS Audio Perfect Wave DAC & Transport. (The Perfect Wave combo is better than the Eastsound but not by much.)
