I installed it yesterday, I'm sure my system sounds great, I can't hear much of anything over the unending 120 db hum and fan noise. What I do hear is pure tube bliss! I think.

Here is a good picture of this type of tube. The DC comes out the bottom from an electrode in a pool of mercury.
